Always try out the leather-care treatment first
inside the leather article in an inconspicuous place.
Never use a strong solvent such as benzine, acetone
or nail varnish remover, otherwise color discrepancies could occur.
Damp leather bags are best dried with the following
method: stuff the bag with absorbent paper – dry at normal room
temperature and with good ventilation – avoid intense heat as the
leather will dry out and become brittle.
Never store leather in plastic containers, since
leather is porous and must always be able to breath.
Leather dyes can be sensitive to light. Protect dyed
(especially aniline-colored) leather from intense light action.
Dyed leather can experience color run, because due to
environmental considerations leather is now tanned using the least
possible amount of chemicals. Therefore pay attention to the care
instructions that come with black bags – do not wear dark leather
next to light-colored clothing – avoid rough textiles that draw in
light colors.
